ABOUT
Botanical visual storytelling through Illustration & Motion
Anna Farba (@annafarba) is a botanical visual artist based in Vancouver, Canada, specializing in hand-painted illustration, motion, and nature-inspired campaign visuals for publishing, beauty, fragrance, and lifestyle brands.
Studio Approach
My work combines traditional watercolor techniques with contemporary digital tools to create botanical visuals that feel tactile, authentic, and immersive.
From publishing illustration to animated content, I develop artwork that translates across still and motion formats while maintaining a strong connection to botanical observation and natural form.
I’m particularly interested in how botanical imagery can communicate mood, ingredient identity, seasonality, and narrative within beauty, fragrance, and editorial storytelling.
About the Artist
Anna is a member of Pacific Northwest Botanical Artists (PNBA), a chapter of the American Society of Botanical Artists. She is a member of the International Watercolor Society and is a featured IWS Member. She became a member and has been awarded an Exhibiting Member from the Federation of Canadian Artists in 2025.
Anna has a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. Anna is a member of the Directory of Illustration, Illustrators For Hire and Creative Howl Illustration Directory.
Botanical Expertise
With more than a decade of experience studying and illustrating plants, Anna brings a deep understanding of plant structure, morphology, and visual identification to her work. She completed a Botany course from the School of Botanical Art & Illustration at Denver Botanic Gardens. This botanical knowledge and experience applying it to commercial projects allows her to create artwork that is both visually engaging and informed by careful observation.

Selected Clients & Collaborations
I collaborate with publishers, beauty and skincare brands, food and beverage companies, creative agencies, and product manufacturers seeking botanical illustration for packaging, editorial content, and brand storytelling.
Visual Language
I’m drawn to botanical subjects that balance delicacy with structure: flowers, medicinal plants, ingredients, and seasonal environments that carry both visual beauty and narrative meaning.
Across illustration and motion, my goal is to create botanical visuals that feel refined, atmospheric, and emotionally resonant.
