Watercolor Nature Illustration Rooted in Botanical Art and Climate Awareness

I’m Anna Farba, a botanical illustrator based in Vancouver, Canada. My watercolor nature illustrations focus on the delicate beauty of plants, pollinators, and wild ecosystems. Each painting is created by hand, blending artistic expression with natural science to highlight biodiversity—and to inspire a deeper connection to the natural world. Through my artwork, I hope to promote climate action, pollinator protection, and a sense of wonder for the ecosystems we depend on.

What I Illustrate

From native wildflowers to endangered pollinators, my watercolor illustrations explore nature with care and clarity:

  • Botanical flowers – native, medicinal, and seasonal blooms

  • Pollinators – bees, butterflies, moths, and hoverflies

  • Plants & fungi – trees, herbs, mushrooms, and edible species

  • Ecosystem portraits – interconnected scenes showing natural relationships

  • Climate-aware compositions – flora and fauna affected by environmental change

All illustrations are painted in traditional watercolor using archival materials, with attention to botanical accuracy and artistic storytelling.

Art for Climate Action

My artwork is not only decorative—it’s intentional.
As species and habitats face increasing threats, visual storytelling plays a role in raising awareness and celebrating what we still have. Through each piece, I aim to advocate for:

  • Pollinator-friendly planting

  • Native biodiversity

  • Sustainable living through visual education

My nature-inspired illustration work has been featured in packaging, books, museum exhibits, and editorial projects focused on environmental themes.
